Know about hastelloy C22 alloy-
Hastelloy C22 is also called as alloy C22 that is tungsten, molybdenum, nickel, and chromium based versatile austenitic alloy. This alloy is having well-improved resistant against crevice corrosion, pitting and stress corrosion cracking as well. The greater chromium content offers excellent resistant to oxidizing media with the content of chromium whereas the content of tungsten and molybdenum offers excellent resistant against reducing acid. Here the nickel alloy too possesses resistant against mixture that contains nitric acid and oxidizing acid with chloride ions and oxidizing media that include wet chlorine.

Hastelloy C22 is also having resistant ability against oxidizing acid chloride, cupric chloride, acetic and formic acid, sea water, brine etc. This nickel alloy provides excellent resistance to the environment where the reducing and oxidizing conditions are encountered at the process streams. Also, it is resisting grain boundary formations at the weld heat affected area, making it perfect for many applications at the welded condition.
